Job Summary
Plans, organizes, and provides strategic direction and control of information technology and integration of systems that support data communications, storage and retrieval, and financial transactions for the academic and business needs of the District. Provides vision and leadership for the strategic planning, development, implementation and support of information and learning technologies for instruction, student services, and administrative and operational systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The position requires a Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, education technology or related field discipline plus 5 years of experience leading the design and programming of applications, databases and of operating systems in a rapidly changing setting, preferably in an educational environment and including two years of functional or large project leadership. Alternatively, may accept a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of progressive experience in information technologies. Possession of a valid California class C driver's license and proof of insurance are required. Twin Rivers Unified School District is the 27th largest school district in California by enrollment, according to the California Department of Education. We serve approximately 27,000 students who come from families that speak 46 languages.
Our district includes four comprehensive high schools, five middle schools and 29 elementary schools. Twin Rivers also offers families the option of two alternative high schools, two special education centers, an independent learning center, a community day school, an opportunity school, preschools, three dependent charter schools and Twin Rivers Adult School.
Twin Rivers serves an 82 square mile area covering the communities of Arden Fair, Del Paso Heights, Dos Rios, Elverta, Foothill Farms, Gardenland, McClellan Park, Natomas, Northgate, North Highlands, North Sacramento, Robla, Rio Linda and Woodlake.
