Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Special Education. To assist the Director of Special Education in implementing the department’s operations and administration. Directly supervises special education staff as assigned. Employees in this classification receive limited and general supervision. Primary contact for agencies cooperatively serving special education students and their families (i.e. Headstart, Northbay Regional Center). Directs and leads the implementation of the Special Education Program. Coordinates Paraeducator staffing with Department secretarial personnel and the department of Human Resources. Coordinates the staff development activities for special education staff.
