St. John’s Episcopal School, a faith-based independent school in Rancho Santa Margarita for students two years old through eighth grade, is hiring a Long-term Elementary Substitute Teacher for 2nd grade. Position Type: Full-Time/Temporary; Long Term Substitute Reports to: Elementary Division Principal Compensation: Daily Rate: $200.00 Start Date: late-August 2025 End Date: mid-December 2025 Summary Description St. John’s Episcopal School is seeking a dedicated and flexible Elementary Division Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide instructional support and continuity of learning in a second-grade classroom during a teacher’s extended absence. The substitute teacher will implement prepared lesson plans in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, STEAM, and other necessary content areas, while maintaining a supportive and structured classroom environment. This position requires strong communication skills, classroom management, and a commitment to upholding the values and culture of St. John’s.
