Job Summary
Job Summary
The job of LVN/RN is done for the purpose/s of supporting the educational process with specific responsibilities for providing health care services; administering first aid and dispensing prescribed medications under the direction of a health care professional; incorporating health care plans directed by physicians; providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and injured students; identifying health problems for referral for proper treatment, as directed by the Credentialed School Nurse; and maintaining health records and other files. The LVN/RN will be assigned or re-assigned according to the needs of the district. Assignments include a site health office, multiple site health offices or special education classroom and is cross trained as needed. LVN/RN adheres to the scope of practice of their licensure. This job reports to Credentialed School Nurse

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a health care setting involving contact with children. Relevant experience, education, certificates and/or licenses may be substituted. REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: Current California LVN or RN license, current First aid and CPR certificate, and valid driver’s license.

SELECTION PROCESS
Contracted employees of Sanger Unified School District holding the title of LVN/RN requesting a transfer will be granted a site interview. If fewer than three qualified transfer requests are received, applicants from the eligibility list will be interviewed for a total of at least three candidates.
