Job Summary
The custodians’ primary responsibilities and qualifications are listed below. All custodians are to report to the plant manager/ site administrator (s). The custodian is responsible for assisting in maintaining the facilities of the school site. The custodian is responsible for ensuring that the facility is well maintained and running appropriately to maintenance standards. The custodian will help maintain a school environment and culture by being able to communicate and work with a diverse group of students, parents, faculty members, board members and community partners.
Requirements / Qualifications
-Must have prior experience working with students in a learning environment -Bilingual in Spanish preferred -Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook -Must be flexible, positive, detail-oriented, team player patient and willing to learn. -Assists in maintaining standards of school safety and civility and ensuring the observance of rules and procedures by students and staff on a school campus at the direction of the school administrator. -At times this job may entail lifting, walking, sitting and standing for periods of time.
