Job Summary

The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent/HR Specialist provides high-level administrative support to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees, overseeing daily office operations, coordinating communication across the district, and managing sensitive and confidential information. Key responsibilities include organizing Board meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, supporting public relations and communications, and maintaining district records and calendars. In the HR role, the position assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee evaluations, compliance with labor laws, credentialing, and other human resources functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic and confidential environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

Letter of Interest Resume 3 Letters of Recommendation Qualifications Knowledge of: • Executive-level administrative office functions and procedures • Data organization, record-keeping, and reporting practices • Relevant laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., Education Code, ESSA, PERB) • Public relations and effective communication strategies • Business writing, proofreading, and document preparation • Computer applications (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Aeries, databases) • Teacher credentialing requirements and personnel regulations Ability to: • Perform confidential administrative and HR tasks independently and accurately • Interpret and apply laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements • Organize complex material and prepare detailed reports • Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Communicate clearly and professionally with diverse stakeholders • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times • Adapt to flexible work hours, including evenings as needed Education & Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred • 5+ years of increasingly responsible administrative/clerical experience (preferably in education) • Valid California driver’s license required • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
