JOB TITLE: School Psychologist CLASSIFICATION: Certified POSITION SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Project Manager/SPED Coordinator the school psychologist works with site administrators to provide psychological services to general education students and students with disabilities; conducts psycho-educational assessments to assist in determining eligibility for special education services and the development of educational programs; consults with school personnel, parents and others concerned with the progress of students; provide individual and group counseling sessions. When qualified, provide such services in the student's primary language. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of duties assigned to this position and this list is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the tasks assigned to this position. • Conduct psycho-educational assessment for the purpose of identifying special needs. • Conduct behavioral assessments, develop and implement behavior intervention plans. Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed. • Interpret test data to develop plans to meet individual student needs. • Determined eligibility, certifies and recommends pupil placement in special programs or classes. • Participate and provide leadership in Individual Educational Program (IEP) meetings and generally serve as a member of assessment teams and individualized education program teams. • Provide support to the positive behavior support program and behavior intervention implementation. • Provide professional development and specialized training related to this role (i.e., disability awareness, behavior intervention and support, SEL, prevention programs, crisis intervention and mental health, cultural competence, supporting student needs, inclusive education and differentiation, etc.). • Provide direct services to students. • Study and assist pupils using various techniques including, but not limited to,
