Enlightened Minds Learning Center serves K-12th grade students. We are excited to continue growing, and as a result, are hiring more instructors for our 1-day Science & Social Studies class and 1-2 day extracurricular classes for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. Instructors at Enlightened Minds Learning Center create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where all students thrive. Enlightened Minds offers a 1-day Science & Social Studies class aligned with California State standards on Wednesdays for K-8th grade, as well as various extracurricular classes like Spanish, cooking, ASL, and STEM for K-12th grade on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At Enlightened Minds, instructors will be part of a diverse community that values inclusion and empowers both students and staff to thrive. Our learning center encourages authentic relationships between instructors and students, allowing them to create meaningful educational impacts daily.
Job Summary
Job Summary
Join Enlightened Minds Learning Center as a Science & Social Studies Instructor or an Extracurricular Instructor! We are seeking passionate educators to create a safe, nurturing, and collaborative learning environment. As an instructor, you'll guide approximately 12-16 students through their educational journey, implementing curriculum and resources that make learning engaging and meaningful. You'll employ diverse teaching techniques while maintaining clear communication with families and administration. If you are dedicated and ready to teach, we invite you to become part of our innovative educational community. Instructor Responsibilities: * Plan and implement lessons and activities using a specified curriculum or resource. * Prepare all necessary materials to implement lessons. * Instruct using various teaching methods such as presentations, discussions, and hands-on activities. * Establish a classroom environment that is safe and supportive, where instructor and student interactions are respectful and polite to promote a positive learning environment for all students. * Provide clear behavior expectations for students and monitor student behavior throughout the class and campus. * Follow established policies and procedures for reporting behavior and incidents. * Communicate weekly summary and report to the administrator.

- CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, not required but a plus - Prior teaching, not required but a plus Required Qualifications: * Exceptional written communication and time management skills. * Strong commitment to being a part of a cooperative team with coworkers and administration. * Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with all involved in a learning center, students, parents, and colleagues. * Ability to create and use Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Docs, or equivalent software.
