Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director, Child Development Instructor, and site administration, the Child Development Assistant provides instructional and operational support in state approved preschool lab environment. This role is essential in maintaining a developmentally appropriate, safe, and engaging environment for preschool children enrolled in the Child Development program high school students complete hands-on training and learning activities.

Requirements / Qualifications

Letter of Introduction Three letters of recommendation Resume High School Diploma or GED Must be able to clear a background check for eligibility to obtain a permit/credential. 6 semester units of Early Childhood Education coursework from an accredited school or college, or completion of a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) in Child Development Related Occupations. Qualify to apply for Child Development Assistant Permit issued by CCTC Pass within 6 month the VROP Paraprofessional Certification or currently hold a Paraprofessional Certification that meets ESSA requirement from an approved district or agency. Pediatric & Child CPR and First Aid Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Must have physician’s clearance to perform physical duties/responsibilities.

Applicant must meet minimum qualifications and provide all necessary materials prior to the stated deadline in order to qualify as a candidate. The following documents are required to apply for the position:
