Job Summary
The Preschool Director is responsible for the overall operation and supervision of the Church’s Preschool which serves 2-5 year olds in two classrooms. The Director ensures that the preschool provides a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment in which children can grow physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually and spiritually. * Ensures compliance with all state and local regulations related to child care; * Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff and teachers; * Create a positive and nurturing learning environment for children; * Create a positive, encouraging and supportive work environment; * Substitute teach as needed; * Recruit families and children to preschool; * Maintain, manage and prepare preschool financial and budget records; * Work collaboratively and effectively with the Preschool Board of Directors.
Requirements / Qualifications
Resume
Completion of 24 units in early childhood education. At least five years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Must meet all Director qualifications and requirements as outlined in CA Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing, Title 22 regulations.
