Job Summary
Job Summary
The Data Coordinator is responsible for CALPADS, attendance, PowerSchool, and related data compliance certification tasks. The position will collaborate with various department leaders to ensure accurate gathering, compliance, and reporting of attendance, school, student, and staff data in support of external reporting requirements. This position will report to the Chief Business Official. This position is a highly visible, central office role, and therefore, a desire to work collaboratively with the primary goal of maintaining state and federal compliance requirements is a must. Requirements / Qualifications

Proof of Highest Level of Education (Required) Required Education and Training: . A bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, or a related field is required (Master’s preferred). . 2-3 years of data management work experience with data reconciliation, quality control, and field mapping experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience/Minimum Qualifications: . Record keeping, office organization, and clerical skills. . Knowledge of HCCTS attendance policies, procedures, terminology, and accounting methods. . Knowledge of state reporting systems, including CALPADS and PADC. . Demonstrated knowledge of attendance recording and reporting requirements and formats. . Ability to communicate with a diverse community. . Knowledge of SQL programming. . A core understanding of applicable State Education Codes related to attendance accounting. . Advanced knowledge of PowerSchool (System Administration level). . Demonstrated knowledge of sufficient math skills to compile alphanumeric data, statistics, and trends. . Operation of a computer and assigned software. . Experience supporting diverse student populations and working in inclusive educational settings. . Demonstrates ethical conduct, integrity, and confidentiality applicable to data policies and procedures. . A comprehensive understanding of California attendance accounting standards and practices.
