POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District and Personnel Commission is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time management position in our Maintenance and Operations division. The Supervisor of Maintenance and Operations works under general direction from the Director of Facilities, Maintenance and Operations, and plans, organizes, coordinates, inspects, schedules, and supervises the District’s construction, maintenance, operations, and repair of District facilities, custodial services, grounds keeping, and assigned facility projects. This position will be following work hours: 11 A.M. - 7:30 P.M. and is a 40-hour/week, 12-month/year position with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. The District offers a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and District-paid life insurance for the employee. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent is required. College-level or comparable courses in building trades and inspection, and facility management is preferred. Experience: • Four (4) years of experience in custodial services and two (2) years of experience in one of the following areas: 1). Facilities Maintenance and Operations, 2). Grounds keeping or 3). Facilities management is required. • Two (2) years in a supervisory or lead capacity in a related area is required. License: • Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License and insurability to drive a District vehicle as part of the District’s Pull Notice program is required. Special information: • The operation of a District vehicle is required. • All applicants will be required to submit a recent (less than one month old from the recruitment closing date) DMV Driver's Record printout showing their driving record, which can be obtained online or in person from the California DMV.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Date of Examination The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email, and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
