Requirements: Position requires knowledge of classroom environment & basic teaching skills. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in math and reading skills up to an 8th-grade level. Must have good oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. BA or units in education are highly desired.

Essential Job Functions
1. Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in the reinforcement instruction of students.
2. Provides reinforcement to students of material initially taught by the classroom teacher.
3. Able to work independently with small groups of students under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher.
4. Responsible for assisting with any independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up by the classroom teacher.
4. Assists classroom teacher in instruction, intervention, and management.
5. Performs other duties as may be necessary and assigned by the classroom teacher and/or administrator.
