Job Summary
Responsible for preparing assigned meal items and maintaining cleanliness in designated work areas, including the kitchen and cafeteria. Supports food transport and service at satellite cafeterias as needed. Supervises subordinate staff, including helpers and student workers, ensuring effective food preparation and service according to menus provided by the Director of Food Services or Head Cook. Ensures accurate food quantities based on student needs and maintains high standards of hygiene and safety. Oversees cleanliness of kitchen equipment, cafeteria supplies, and ensures proper dress and hygiene among staff. Completes daily production reports and performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Have demonstrated a minimum of one-year experience in a school cafeteria or highly related experience; Possess a high school diploma or its equivalency; Have demonstrated ability to assist in large meal preparation & supervision of personnel; Have demonstrated ability to prepare food from instructions both written and oral;
