Requirements / Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent AND: Additional courses in maintenance or telecommunications or electrical or HVAC or plumbing or at least four years *or journey level maintenance experience in a school system or in a very similar situation in one of the skilled trades.
Applicants must successfully complete each part of the examination process in order to be considered further. PLEASE NOTE: WE MAY REQUIRE SUPERVISOR RECOMMENDATION FORMS FOR IN HOUSE EMPLOYEES. WRITTEN TEST: TO BE DETERMINED – TIME TO BE DETERMINED. TIME & DATE MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. (PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR AN INVITATION TO TEST) PERFORMANCE TEST: TO BE DETERMINED SCORING: WRITTEN EXAMINATION & PERFORMANCE EXAMINATION MUST BE PASSED WITH A 75% OR BETTER ON EACH TEST TO ADVANCE ONTO INTERVIEWS. All examinations must be passed with 75% or better. An eligibility list will be in effect for 6 months or until less than 3 applicants remain on the list. If FIVE (5) applicants are permanent employees from the Lancaster School District and demonstrate the ability to meet the job qualifications, the position will be filled on a promotional basis.
