Job Summary
Under the direction of the Educational Services District Administration and/or the site principal, the Curriculum and Instruction Specialist is responsible for supporting the professional growth and development of all teachers to facilitate learning and independent application of effective instructional practices. Position provides support through planning, modeling, co-teaching, training, and data analysis across all content areas. Position plans and conducts professional development based on assessed site and/or teacher needs. Overall, the job of the Curriculum and Instruction Specialist is to build the capacity of schools and teachers to meet the learning needs of all students. The Curriculum and Instruction Specialist’s goal is to ensure that school staff acquire the understanding and skills to enhance instructional practices at the classroom level and raise the level of the student academic achievement.
