Under the direction of the Principal or an assigned supervisor, provide academic, career and personal/social counseling and guidance services to students; make referrals to other community resources, support groups and social service agencies as appropriate.

Requirements / Qualifications

POSITION AVAILABLE: DINUBA HIGH SCHOOL- COUNSELOR (9-12) QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master’s degree in school counseling. Psychology, social work or related field and two years of counseling experience. 2. Possess a valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential. 3. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to work cooperatively with others. 4. Responsible for providing educational and behavioral counseling to individuals and small groups; assisting in understanding and seeking solutions to academic, social, and emotional challenges and issues.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: A complete application packet must include the following: 1. Employment application 2. Letter of interest 3. Resume 4. Three current letters of reference 5. Copies of credential(s) and transcript(s) 6. Certificate of Eligibility for Administrative Credential or Verify Eligibility for Administrative Service Internship Program
