Technology TOSA *** ESC Itinerate
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent Educational Services the Technology TOSA will support and assist classroom teachers with the implementation of technology support for the district adopted core curriculum and district intervention programs.
The overarching goal of Technology TOSA is to develop teacher capacity as defined by the California Standards of the Teaching Profession and to provide support toward improving student achievement.

The Technology TOSA, K-5, provides support to teachers and administrators in the implementation of technology support in all cohort areas. The Technology TOSA supports the district’s staff development plan, as outlined in the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) by providing professional development for teachers to improve instructional practice through coaching, demonstration lessons, presentations, and workshops. The Technology TOSA assists with data analysis with regard to supporting the instructional needs of EL, SWD, Foster Youth and students experiencing homelessness.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Site Level Support Assists administrators and teachers with using current classroom technology and on-line assessment tools to support the district adopted core curriculum and district intervention programs. Demonstrates model lessons incorporating classroom technology, and provides coaching and feedback to teachers to ensure that they have support in implementing programs that serve core and intervention level students. Assists teachers and administrators in accessing and generating reports that are needed to make appropriate instructional decisions. Assists teachers and grade-level teams with information about new technologies in reference to state and district assessments. Assists teachers in incorporating classroom technology as part of Universal Access strategies and implementing research based best practices in the implementation of all California State Standards. Meets regularly with district administration to discuss student learning and to assist with the implementation of classroom technologies to support the core curriculum and intervention programs. Supports administrators regarding site-level staff development activities related to classroom technology and on-line assessment tools. Attends workshops and trainings related to further development of skills needed in this position. Technology TOSA will attend monthly meetings with the Directors of Curriculum, State, and Federal Programs, Director of English Learner Services, Chief Information Officer and Educational Services Administrators. Assist with updating district’s current on-line assessment databases.
