We have an opening for a committed and experienced Inclusion Specialist to support our middle and high school divisions (grades 5–12) at the German International School of Silicon Valley in Mountain View. The ideal candidate is passionate about inclusive education, skilled in collaboration, and confident in supporting diverse learners within an international, bilingual context. This full-time position is available starting August 1, 2025. Essential Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support plans - Observe students in the classroom and identify learning/behavioral challenges and strengths - Manage and maintain records related to diagnoses and accommodations - Collaborate with and coach teachers to implement effective strategies for diverse learners - Create support tools for staff and students related to inclusive practices, differentiation, executive functioning, ADHD, and language-based learning differences. - Work closely with other Student Support Team members (counselors and inclusion specialists) - Provide small-group support to students - Communicate regularly with parents and external professionals Qualifications - Degree in Special Education or a related field - Minimum of 3+ years of experience in inclusive education - Experience working with students in grades 5–12 - Knowledge of differentiation, learning styles, and evidence-based strategies - Experience supporting students with ADHD, language-based learning differences, and executive functioning challenges - Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, proactive approach - Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team - Fluency in English and/or German (spoken and written); bilingual proficiency is a strong asset - Familiarity with both German and U.S. educational systems is a plus - Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
