Requirements / Qualifications
A complete application packet will contain: 1. Letter of Introduction that includes information on volunteer work you have done within the past four years and any experience you have had instructing students in extracurricular activities. 2. Resume. 3. Copy of CA teaching credential and EL authorization (if separate from credential). 5. 2-3 recent letters of professional recommendation (from supervisors on letterhead). Applicants applying for Transitional Kindergarten must meet one of the following criterias: at least 24 units in early childhood education or child development, or both; as determined and documented by the local educational agency employing the teacher, professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children meeting the criteria established by the governing board or body of the local educational agency that is comparable to the 24 units of education; or a Child Development Teacher Permit, or an early childhood education specialist credential, issued from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) - Permit options: Child Development Teacher Permit, Child Development Master Teacher Permit, Child Development Site Supervisor Permit, or the Child Development Program Director ** COPIES OF DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED MUST BE LEGIBLE **Failure to attach the required documents will cause you to be screened out. Documents received in person, via email or fax, and/or after the deadline will not be considered.
