Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Chief Business Official serves as controller by closely monitoring the district’s financial health; develops and maintains the District budget; prepares financial projections and reports; performs accounting and financial reporting to ensure fiscal compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. The CBO also oversees and supervises the Business Services, Maintenance & Operations and Nutrition Services departments.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration degree required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure and/or Masters Degree in lieu of Bachelor's Degree preferred. California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) Chief Business Official (CBO) Certification/Training highly desired. - Two (2) years of varied and increasingly responsible accounting and business services experience.
Interviews will take place according to the schedule below: - Friday, June 20th: (12:30PM - 4:00PM) - A Performance Task will be required and will be sent out to candidates by 5:00PM on Wednesday, June 18th - Candidates must provide personal contact information for all references listed on the application. This will expedite the reference check process. Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2025
