The Poway Unified School District is looking for a Program Specialist - Special Education for the 2025/2026 school year. Requirements / Qualifications

Must hold a valid California credential (Special Education or Clinical Services or Pupil Services), master’s degree, and advanced training and related experience in the education of individuals with exceptional needs. Must have completed at least five years of successful classroom teaching or related work in the field of special education. Administrative Credential is preferred. Has knowledge of all areas of elementary and secondary curriculum and recent training and experience in the education of individuals with exceptional needs. Demonstrates leadership and strong organizational skills. Demonstrates an ability to develop, direct, and coordinate programs. Relates well with administrators, teachers, and parents. Has knowledge concerning appropriate programming for students in all areas of special education with special expertise in at least one area. Has current knowledge and expertise in special education laws and procedures. Applicants must submit all required documents to be considered, including valid California credential (Special Education or Clinical Services or Pupil Services).
