Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: •Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. •One (1) year experience as a custodian and/or housekeeper or six (6) months experience as a Substitute Custodian with in the Val Verde School District. Please note - *We do not accept a resume in lieu of a complete application. *All document copies must be attached to your application at time of submission. *If “Record of Work Experience” on application is left blank, it will be considered incomplete.

Online Application Packet: Interested applicants are required to submit an EDJOIN online application and the following attachments (failure to attach will result in application being screened out): • Copy of High School Diploma or GED – if High School Diploma is international, copy must be translated to verify equivalency. • Copy of valid and appropriate California Driver’s License • Copy of DMV Report • Resume – desired • Test Scores: If you have taken the exam for Custodian or Substitute Custodian within the last three (3) years, attach a copy of your letter indicating a passing score of 75% or higher (Test scores are good for 3 years from the original testing date). • If you are a new applicant and pass the initial screening for the position, you will be invited to take the District exam.
