Merit Rule 6.200.6 Appointment to summer school, extended school year and intersession positions shall be made in this priority: a) Employees who have worked in the classification, have successfully met the expectations of the class, and maintained necessary licenses or other requirements of the assignment. b) Qualified employees working in other related classifications and successfully met the expectations of those classes, and maintained necessary licenses or other requirements of the assignment. c) Qualified employees working in non-related classifications but who meet the minimum requirements of the classification for the assignment so as to provide evidence of ability to perform in such assignment. d) Qualified persons not currently employed by the District in a regular-status position but meet the requirements of the classification for the assignment. e) Qualified persons not currently employed by the District but meet the requirements of the classification for the assignment.

Nutrition Services Manager I tasks include preparation of meals, distribution of meals, cleaning of hot and cold kitchen equipment, washing dishes, storing dishes, inventory, ordering, daily paperwork Nutrition Services Assistant I tasks include preparation of meals, distribution of meals, cleaning of hot and cold kitchen equipment, washing dishes, storing dishes PROGRAM BLOCKS: This posting is for an additional site added to Program Block 2 Program Block 2: July 21 - July 25 (5 paid days) Sites Include: Farr Ave Elementary Nutrition Services Site Manager I (1 position) (Note: Current NSA II may apply to work out of class) 6 hrs/day; 7 AM- 1:30 PM w/ 30 minute lunch Nutrition Services Assistant I (1 position) 3.0 hrs/day; 10 AM - 1 PM (The number of positions are subject to upward or downward movement pending sufficient student participation) Salary per Merit Rule 7.300.3: "A regular employee working in a summer school/extended year/intersession assignment in his/her own class, a lower class, or a higher class for which "out of class" does not apply, shall be paid at his/her own hourly rate, and shall receive such benefit as are required by law...A regular employee working in a higher class for which "out of class" provisions apply, shall be paid in accordance with Rule 7.300.11"
