Job Summary
Under the direction of the supervising school nurse and/or teacher, performs specialized health care procedures, executes medical orders, provides academic instruction, assists in helping students behave appropriately, and relieves the teacher/nurse of clerical duties for identified students. Performs a variety of routine tasks to care and instruct students assigned to special education programs. Special education students may consist of those students with learning disabilities, health, emotional, physical or behavioral problems
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children with special needs. Health care training and experience desired. CPR/First Aid Certificate is required.
