JOB DESCRIPTION: Preschool Director JOB TYPE: Part-Time; 8 am to 2 pm, M-F, year-round DIRECT REPORT: School Principal COMPENSATION: Is structured according to Educational experience/Early Childhood Education units DESCRIPTION The Preschool Director will be responsible for ensuring the success of St. Paul Lutheran Preschool's programs and services. This includes overseeing daily operations, providing leadership in academic and non-academic program development, and fostering the growth of staff to support the mission and goals of the preschool. The Director will also be responsible for maintaining institutional structure, operational procedures, financial stability, and planning for the future of St. Paul Lutheran Preschool. The Director will establish processes that encourage open communication among parents, staff, and administrators’, ensuring everyone feels welcomed and respected. SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS Maintain State of California Preschool License requirements and State of California Health and Education. Administration 1. Oversees daily operations at St. Paul Lutheran Preschool. 2. Maintains and updates institutional policies and procedures for preschool operations. 3. Ensures compliance with early childhood education laws, regulations, and requirements. 4. Facilitates parent-teacher communications and conferences. 5. Assists school leadership in developing and implementing preschool policies. 6.Serves as liaison between the preschool and St. Paul Lutheran Church and School administrative leaders. 7. Oversees and manages the preschool budget. 8. Represents St. Paul Lutheran Preschool at community events, open houses, and enrollment fairs. Enrollment 1.Supports and implements strategies to retain current students and grow enrollment. 2. Coordinates closely with the senior pastor and school principal to ensure smooth enrollment processes, including outreach to prospective families and managing application procedures. Faculty 1. Supe

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 1. Child Development Master Teacher- OR - California Teaching Credential- OR- 12 units of Early Childhood Education 2. First Aid and CPR Certification 3. Knowledge of current Best Practices in Early Childhood Education 4. Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in education, early childhood, or related field (preferred) 5. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in early childhood education. 6. Demonstrated experience as an administrator of a preschool or childcare center 7. Experience preparing an annual budget with a knowledge of business financial 8. Management CLEARANCES Fingerprint Background Clearance, Immunization Record, and TB.
