These protections are guaranteed under applicable state and federal laws, including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and the California Education Code. MVUSD does not tolerate retaliation against individuals who report or participate in the investigation of complaints involving discrimination, harassment, or related misconduct. Moreno Valley Unified School District does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates, including admission and employment, as required by Title IX and its regulations.
