GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Under the general leadership of the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, oversee and supervise the fiscal operations of the District. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Implement the philosophy, goals, objectives, and policies of the District as adopted by the Board of Trustees and Cabinet; 2. Lead, plan, organize, manage, direct, coordinate, and oversee the activities of the Business Service department and its employees; 3. Administrate, manage, and assist with the fiscal operations of the District including, but not limited to, the following: accounting, attendance, associated student body, budget development, monitoring, and revisions, cash flow, financial and data analysis, fiscal/internal auditing/controls, multi-year projection, payroll, preparation and presentation of reports and resolutions, preparation/revision of salary schedules, year-end closing and preparation of financial reports, etc.; 4. Plan, organize, direct, train, supervise, and evaluate employees; 5. Develop, interpret, administer, and enforce policies, procedures, and regulations; 6. Coordinate and facilitate business activities with school sites and District departments; 7. Attends the meetings of the Board of Trustees and supplies information and advice as may be required or requested; 8. Provides leadership by establishing and maintaining professional collaborative working relationships with the Board of Trustees, administrators, staff, students, regulatory agencies, employees, parents, and community members, etc.; 9. Maintains records, attends meetings, attends workshops, conducts studies, prepares reports, and makes presentations; 10. Maintains cooperative relationships with federal, state, and local agencies, independent contractors, community groups, residents, District administrators, and consultants; 11. Remains current and complies with all guidelines, codes, statutes, laws, and regulations, etc. within the position’s scope of responsibilit

Qualifications: (See attached job description for detailed information) BA/BS Degree with any combination of education & work experience in Business, Accounting, Management or related field; plus five years increasingly responsible supervisory experience in accounting, budgeting and/or fiscal management/oversight, preferably in a CA K-12 environment. DESIRED/PREFERRED: MA/MS from an accredited College or university with a major in Business, Accounting, Management, Public Administration, Education or related field; and, CASBO certificate and FCMAT graduate. New three-year collective bargaining agreement. Effective 7.1.2025:
2025-2026: Salary schedule increase of 2% and a 2% off-schedule payment at year-end
2026–2027: Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end.
2027–2028: Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end
