WHS is seeking a band teacher who can develop, build and sustain a program that will allow for students at WHS to express their musical abilities. This person should be ready to develop a program that will perform publicly, during school and become an integral part of the WHS school culture. WHS and PVUSD support music, band and other arts outlets as a vital part of a school community and hope to hire someone who has the same vision.

Valid California Single Subject Credential - Music Valid CLAD, ELA, or Equivalent Letter of Introduction Current Resume Three Letters of Recommendation (dated within the last two years and one from supervisor)

The Pajaro Valley Unified School District is located in the beautiful Santa Cruz County, California. Pajaro Valley Unified School District is one of the largest school districts in Northern California, presently serving a K-12 student population of approximately 16,000. The District also has an experienced staff to address the needs of the students and the schools. The District currently employs 1,182 certificated and 900 classified employees. We deliver a dynamic educational program to close to 16,000 students at our sixteen elementary schools, six middle schools, three high schools, five charter schools, seventeen children´s centers, a continuation high school, an Adult Education School, and two alternative schools.
Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval. As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; and authorization to work (I-9).
