Requirements / Qualifications
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: High School Diploma or equivalent and 48 college units in Child Development, Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field or equivalent experience, or A.A degree or higher, or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of experience working with individuals who have special needs preferred. Two (2) years of experience directly administering applied behavior analysis interventions to individuals with disabilities preferred. Paraprofessional Requirements (Please attach proof of testing OR higher education if available) 1. High School diploma or the equivalent, AND 2. Two years of college - 48 units (attach evidence), OR 3. A.A. degree or higher - (attach evidence), OR 4. Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. (If passed, attach CBEST, or evidence of passing a Paraprofessional Exam in compliance with the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).
