
ACCOUNT CLERK II at Covina-Valley Unified School District
Requirements / Qualifications
The Vacancy: There is one full-time, 12 month permanent position in Business Services, District Office. This recruitment will also be used to fill future vacancies and substitute/temporary positions in this classification for up to 6 months. The Position: Under general supervision, to perform a variety of account clerical work of above average difficulty involving the preparation and maintenance of District financial and statistical records and to do related work as required.
Required Qualifications: Must have two years of increasingly responsible experience in financial, accounting or statistical recordkeeping activities, and the ability to perform difficult financial, statistical and account recordkeeping involved with the preparation and maintenance of District payrolls, accounts payable and receivable, and insurance and fringe benefit programs, make arithmetical calculations quickly and accurately, and operate calculating equipment with speed and accuracy. Selection Procedure: The selection process will consist of a written exam and a qualifications appraisal interview each weighted 50%. Covina-Valley Unified School District offers 3 different employer-paid HMO medical plans (Kaiser HMO, Blue Shield of California Access HMO, and Trio HMO) to choose from as well as full dental, vision, and life insurance plans at no cost to all benefit-eligible employees. Extended coverage for your qualified dependents is also available at a low price. Employees who work 31+ hours/weekly also have the option to choose a low-cost PPO plan.
