Chula Vista Elementary School District is hosting an in-person Job Fair on Thursday June 12th to hire Instructional Assistants – Special Education and Student Attendants – Special Education for the 2025–2026 school year. Requirements / Qualifications
Positions Available: Instructional Assistant – Special Education Provides instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to students with special needs under the supervision of a classroom teacher. Assists with academic tasks, behavior management, and daily routines to ensure student success in a special education setting. Student Attendant – Special Education Supports individual students with significant physical, medical, or behavioral needs. Duties include toileting, personal care, mobility assistance, feeding, and behavior support to ensure student safety and participation throughout the school day. This position requires CPR. Student Attendant Site Substitute (On-Call) - 18 Vacancies Serves as an on-call substitute for Student Attendant positions across various school sites. Must be available Monday through Friday during school hours. Supports individual students with significant physical, medical, or behavioral needs. Duties include toileting, personal care, mobility assistance, feeding, and behavior support to ensure student safety and participation throughout the school day. This position requires CPR. Special rate: $22/hour. Interview Process: - First 50 people in line by 8 AM will be guaranteed an interview - Bring an ID and resume - Be prepared to discuss your availability and interest in working with students with special needs - Be prepared to complete IA/SA Exam testing same day if qualified Testing Information (if applicable): Selected candidates will be asked to take the Instructional Assistant/Student Attendant exam the same day if needed to qualify. Please allow for an additional 2.5 - 3 hours to take the test. What to Bring: Valid photo ID Resume Transcripts of Associates and or Bachelors References Information Pen and notebook Water
