Job Summary

Job Summary

The job responsibility of a Behavioral Assistant - Special Education is to assist the teachers and parents for the purpose of implementing lesson plans and/ or developing students' daily living and behavioral skills. Assists students during transport for the purpose of ensuring safety. Administers first aid and medical/ hygiene assistance (i.e. toileting, etc.) for the purpose of providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile, and/ or injured children.

POSITION: Behavioral Assistant – Special Education LOCATION: To Be Determined WORK YEAR: 6 hours per day – 9.75 months/year SALARY RANGE: Step 15: $2,176.81 - $3,543.43 per month APPLICATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, June 10, 2025, no later than 4 pm POSITION REQUIREMENT: Must meet a rigorous standard of quality by meeting one of the following: (Attach copy) 1) Associate’s Degree (or higher) 2) Successful passage of a formal local academic assessment or ECESD Competency Exam
