Required Qualifications: Possession of high school diploma or equivalent Must have completed (1) two years of study (minimum of 48 semester units) at an institution of higher education OR (2) possession of an associate’s (or higher) degree OR (3) met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness) Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with adults and students Background in physical education/recreation programs General knowledge of first aid Knowledge of team and individual sports The ability to supervise and direct students Physically active Desired Qualifications: Enthusiasm for and commitment to assigned tasks Outgoing; likes 6-12 years old Ability to control groups of students Experience coaching athletics
