Job Summary
The Graphic Designer advances the mission and vision of JSerra Catholic High School by producing compelling visual content that communicates the school’s brand across print, digital, and social media platforms. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role is responsible for creating graphic design assets, coordinating photography with external resources, capturing photos as needed, creating social media posts, creating visually compelling presentations, overseeing and managing projects from concept to delivery, managing multiple priorities with deadlines, communicating with a variety of constituents proactively, and maintaining the school’s digital photo archive. Responsibilities: • Design engaging print and digital materials including flyers, brochures, posters, event programs, web graphics, and email templates in alignment with JSerra’s brand guidelines. • Deliver visually compelling and mission-aligned presentations for internal and external audiences, including donors, parents, and leadership events. • Coordinate with external photography resources to ensure that photographs needed from specific events are captured, curated, tagged, and archived. • Plan, capture, edit, and deliver photography for school events, marketing campaigns, and social media channels. • Organize, tag, and maintain the school’s digital photo archive for accessibility and retrieval by internal stakeholders. • Coordinate posts as needed for specific areas of the school’s social media calendar, ensuring timely, mission-aligned content across all platforms. • Coordinate multiple design and communications projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery of deliverables. • Collaborate with the Marketing team, faculty, and administration to ensure consistency and effectiveness in visual imaging. • Support campus events with photography, graphic assets, and promotional materials as needed. • Stay current on design trends, photography best practices, and social medi
Requirements / Qualifications
Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field. • Minimum of five (5) years of professional design experience; school or nonprofit experience a plus. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom) and Canva. • Experience with PowerPoint and Prezi. • Strong photography skills including photo editing and basic retouching. • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, etc.). • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. • Knowledge of print production processes and digital file preparation. • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for school events. • Commitment to the mission and values of JSerra Catholic High School.
