Job Summary
Directly responsible to the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services for the complete administration of a high school; serves as the educational leader for the school; manages and administers a total school program that is committed to excellence.
Requirements / Qualifications
ACADEMIC TRAINING AND CREDENTIALS: Master’s Degree. Valid appropriate California Administrative Credential authorizing service as a secondary principal. EXPERIENCE: Strong background with experience at the secondary level as a teacher; ability to provide leadership in standards-based curriculum and instruction to the staff at the high school level. OTHER PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to involve, establish rapport and work effectively with secondary school teachers, students, counselors, parents and classified personnel; effective communication skills, both verbal and written; sound organizational and planning ability; knowledge of, and involvement with, effective instructional programs at the secondary level.
