Reports To: Facilities Manager FLSA Classification: Non-exempt Full-Time/Part-Time Status: Full-time Regular/Temporary employee: Regular Represented: Classified Union Salary: Step 1 Hourly Framework, Range: $18.75 - $22.86. Salary is commensurate with experience. Application Opening Date: 5/29/25 Application Closing Date: 6/20/25 JOB FUNCTION/ DESCRIPTION: Maintain common areas of school buildings to ensure a clean and orderly environment for K-12 students. Day Porters assist maintenance technicians with various projects and custodians with building cleaning duties, when requested. Landscaping duties depending on the campus. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Clean miscellaneous exterior trash and debris into waste receptacles -Empty trash and recycling from exterior receptacles 3 times daily, or more if needed -Take trash to designated dumpsters -Power wash exterior walkways -Power wash lunch tables -Use blower to collect and remove debris from exterior areas -Graffiti removal, and emergency clean up -Unload delivery trucks -Run floor scrubbing and steam cleaning machines -Move tables, chairs, and stage components for event set ups, when requested -Run lawn mower, edger and weed trimmer as assigned
