Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and Student Services/Vice Principal for Blue Ridge Academy, this employee will provide Special Education Services to students enrolled in Blue Ridge Academy. The Physical Therapist serves as a member of the Blue Ridge Academy Team and will collaborate as well as consult with the team members. The Physical Therapist will assess student performance in the areas of disability; develop assessment reports; identify student abilities within education, developmental or functional parameters; develop goals and objectives for consideration in the individualized education program (IEP) team meeting and maintain appropriate documentation and reports. The Physical Therapist supports students who have conditions that are mentally, physically or developmentally disabling.
