Job Summary
At The Accelerated Schools (TAS), the Director of Data & Systems plays a critical leadership role in advancing the network’s data strategy to support academic success and operational excellence. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Director is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data systems that ensure timely, accurate, and actionable information delivery to internal and external stakeholders. The Director oversees the Data & Systems team and leads the ongoing management of the student information system (PowerSchool), CALPADS operations, data governance, and compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements. This role includes strategic oversight of scheduling systems, data integrations, and staff training to strengthen data literacy across the organization. The Director partners cross-functionally with academic, operational, and school site leaders to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security. Through the development of custom dashboards, reports, and analytics tools, the Director empowers data-informed decision-making to drive scholar achievement, organizational health, and continuous improvement efforts across the TAS network.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university and at least 4 years of progressive professional experience in statistical analysis, social science, or a related field Minimum of three years of experience leading change management in academic data or related systems Direct supervisory experience in managing data teams or system operations Experience using student information systems (e.g., PowerSchool) Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data tools.
