
Human Resources Analyst at Hollister School District
Requirements / Qualifications
Under the direction of the HR Director, the HR Analyst performs a variety of highly complex personnel work including, but not limited to: Oversight of the District’s Workers’ Compensation Program, oversight and tracking of all leaves of absence; assist in the recruitment of certificated and/or classified employees, maintain confidential employee records, participate in training and professional development. This is a multi-incumbent position. Employee may specialize in working with either classified or certificated employees but is cross-trained and may be expected to be able to work with both categories of employees. This position is also required to participate as a member of the District’s negotiating teams with bargaining units. This is a confidential position. This position requires the knowledge of: Principles and practices of personnel; Workers’ Compensation; Leaves of Absence; Recruiting and employment; Employee records; Professional Development and Training; Classification and Compensation. The HR Analyst’s primary focus in this position will be to: Evaluate information relative to Worker’s Compensation claims; Address questions about Worker’s Compensation programs, monitor and record appropriate leave usage relative to Workers’ Compensation; work closely with payroll regarding adjustments during leaves of absence. Coordinate and maintain schedule for ergonomic evaluations for District employees, respond to inquiries and provide information to staff concerning related rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The HR Analyst is also expected to: Maintain effective working relationships with other people; Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Operate a PC and related software; Provide employees with accurate and timely services and information; Create and maintain complex personnel databases, and perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma is required. Associate’s Degree or higher is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources and facilitating/overseeing a Workers’ Compensation Program, or combination of experience in HR and a closely-related field are required.
