Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Adult & Career Technical Education or Adult Education Principal, provide instruction in Medical Coding & Billing for adult learners. The instructor will develop and deliver coursework aligned with industry standards, preparing students for entry-level employment, advanced training, or certification in medical coding and billing. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, curriculum development, student assessment, and fostering partnerships with industry professionals. Estimated start date: 9/1/25 3 hours/day, 4 evenings/week 6 week modules

Requirements / Qualifications

Any combination equivalent to an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or graduate coursework required to meet credentialing requirements Minimum of three years of full-time work experience in medical coding, billing, or a related healthcare field Teaching experience and competency-based curriculum development preferred Possession of or eligibility for a valid California Career Technical Education Credential with specialization in Health Science and Medical Technology. Instructor is responsible for maintaining proper and correct credentials.
