Under the supervision and direction of the Elementary School Principal, the Assistant Principal is responsible for supporting specific student services and programming, academic guidance and intervention, counseling services, testing, maintenance of student and employee records, and the supervsion and evaluation of staff asigned to the school site. The Assistant Principal serves as the Principal's designee at site meetings and serves as the administrator in charge in the Principal's absence. Under the direction of the Principal, the Assistant Principal develops and executes the site's Safety Plan. The Assistant Principal is also responsible for daily administration of student attendance, discipline policies, and support services for academic and behavioral interventions.
