Job Summary
The Board of Trustees of the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Program Specialist, Student Support Services. The Program Specialist will provide leadership, staff development and training related to social-emotional & behavioral support. In addition, the position will assist in planning, organizing, and directing related programs for attendance, social-emotional learning, behavior, and safety. The Program Specialist will be under the direct supervision of the Director III, Student Support Services in the Educational Services Division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise and provide support to school district and program personnel responsible for staff development activities and resources
- Assist in the development of effective, appropriate programs and coordination of resources for students.
- Assist in assuring a positive school climate by fostering an enviornment of cooperation, respect, and personal responsibility amoung students.
- Assist in developing and conducting training in topics such as, but not limited to, MTSS, PBIS, attendance, crisis pervention, campus security, social-emotional learning, and student behavior.
- Serve as a professional development trainer or facilitator of training sessions. Assist in scheduling, preparation of materials, and set up for facilities. Be available to provide support for training sessions that may be held in the evening or on weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigne.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Valid California teaching credential At least three-five years of educational experience as a classroom teacher. Master’s Degree required from accredited university in education related field.

SALARY AND TERMS OF SERVICE
Annual Salary Range: $108,502 - $131,229 nine (9) steps, 204 working days per year, eight (8) hours per day. Placement on the salary schedule is determined by the number of years of previous experience in similar position. $2,500/year stipend for a Doctorate Degree; Longevity of $1,500 after 15 years of qualified District service and $3,500 after 20 years of qualified District service.Additional days, evenings/weekends as needed to perform related job duties and responsibilities. The District currently contributes up to $19,793.00 per year to family dental, medical, and vision insurance plans and a life insurance plan for employee only.
