Job Summary

Under the direction of the School Site Administrator the classroom teacher is responsible for the education of assigned students and will create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching a wide variety of students, including English Learners and students with disabilities.

We anticipate that this position will begin in January 2026. This position requires a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. We accept out of state applicants looking to relocate to the San Fernando Valley if applicants have started compiling required documents for the process of converting their professional-level credential from another state. Applications from Intern Eligible applicants are accepted, but must be accompanied by a letter from the applicant's university on official letterhead indicating that the candidate is intern eligible, with an anticipated effective date for when the applicant will be recommended to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the university for the Single Subject Intern Credential. Applications from applicants who are currently in a credentialing program and plan to graduate and receive their teaching credential upon graduation in the months of May, June or July are accepted but must be accompanied by a letter from the applicant's university on official letterhead indicating that the candidate is on board to graduate from the credentialing program, with an anticipated effective date for when the applicant will be recommended to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the university for the Single Subject Credential.
