CHILD NUTRITION HIGH SCHOOL KITCHEN LEAD 8 HOURS/10 MONTHS 6 AM- 2:30 PM 1. Any combination equivalent to high school graduation & 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in food services. 2. Lead, oversee & participate in food services operations to meet student needs at an assigned high school site; assure kitchen, cafeteria & serving functions comply with safety, sanitation regulations, & established policies & procedures. 3. Determine appropriate quantity of entrees, side dishes, fruits, vegetables, desserts & other food items for cooking, baking & preparation; assure compliance with food quality standards; assure meals are served in a timely manner. 4. Train & provide work direction & guidance to assigned personnel; assign employee duties & review work to assure accuracy specifications; assist assigned personnel with duties as needed to maintain established timelines. 5. Perform opening duties as assigned; Prepare food items for distribution & transportation to other school sites according to individual school needs; review & verify quantities of outgoing shipments. 6. Prepare & maintain a variety of related records & reports. Communicate with students, staff & various outside agencies to exchange information, coordinate activities & resolve issues or concerns. Oversee the receipt, storage & rotation of food items & supplies; assure vending machines are stocked as assigned by the position. 7. Count monies & balance cash boxes for assigned sites; prepare lunch counts & send report to appropriate personnel. Operate standard food service equipment as assigned; operate assigned office equipment & input data as required. 8. Valid ServSafe certification; Valid First Aid & CPR certification.
