JOB SPECIFICATION
INTERVENTION ADMINISTRATOR - TK-8
THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Principal, coordinates academic and behavioral interventions and works with students, staff, and parents to create positive outcomes for all students.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Principal
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
The duties listed are typical, but not exclusive:
? Assists the school site principal and assistant principal in the overall administration of the school.
? Works with stakeholders to establish and maintain a positive, caring, orderly, and supportive student culture and learning environment.
? Provides for early identification and intervention of students’ academic and personal/social needs to help remove barriers to learning, promote academic achievement, and create a foundation for future success.
? Helps teachers develop and implement classroom-based, developmentally appropriate interventions for individual students and groups of students to enhance their acquisition of social/emotional and cognitive skills.
? Implements and tracks PBIS/Restorative Practices support for all identified students.
? Promotes positive student attendance by providing direct interventions at school sites, communities, and homes of students at risk.
? Assists in the coordination and facilitation of behavior and academic related meetings, such as SST/IEP/504, and serves as the primary scheduled administrative designee in such meetings, with parents/caregivers, staff and others for the purpose of enlisting help for at-risk students and keeping track of their progress.
? Is highly visible on campus throughout the school day.
? Provides behavioral related workshops for parents/caregivers.
? Has knowledge of local policies, and state and federal laws relating to minors.
? Assists with emergency situations in cooperation with staff and public safety agencies.
? Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may request.

? Valid California Administrative Credential.
Education:
? Masters degree or higher, from an accredited college or university, preferred.
Experience:
? Successful instructional and/or leadership experience at the elementary level
? Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
