Job Summary

A Behavior Intervention Supervisor provides specialized support, and guidance in the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior intervention plans and behavior-related services for students with disabilities. This role involves direct collaboration with teachers, administrators, support staff, and families to promote student success through data-driven practices and individualized behavior support. The Behavior Intervention Supervisor also oversees, supervises and collaborates with paraprofessionals who work directly with students with special needs across the district. In this role, the incumbents will be in charge of evaluating Behavior Intervention Assistants annually. The Behavior Intervention Supervisor ensures fidelity of behavior plans and upholds compliance with IEP-related responsibilities and district timelines.

Positions include full district-paid benefits. Health and welfare district contribution is $39,790 annually. To apply: Visit www.gusd.net: https://www.schooljobs.com/careers/gusd Minimum Requirements: Education: -Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Psychology, Special Education, or a related field Experience: -Minimum of five years of experience working in school settings with students with disabilities (e.g., Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, and other disabilities), including students who demonstrate challenging behaviors, with at least two years of experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)–based interventions -Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Psychology, Special Education, or a related field. -At least two years of experience supervising and managing staff in educational settings, preferably as a BCaBA/BCBA supervisor. -Completion of an approved ABA course sequence from an accredited institution -Training in a variety of evidence-based instructional and behavioral methodologies such as: Communication training, CPI training, social skills training, Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS). -Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate. License or Certificate: -Certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). -Positions in this classification require the use of personal transportation, and the possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license.
