We are seeking a passionate, student-centered teacher (called an Advisor at our school) to join our Big Picture South Valley community. Advisors serve as the primary educators and mentors for one class of high school students, guiding them through personalized learning plans, internships, and real-world projects. Ideal candidates are flexible, relationship-driven, and committed to equity, deeper learning, and authentic student engagement. A math or science credential is preferred, as this Advisor will lead workshops in these disciplines, focusing on real-world applications This position is teaching high school students at an Alternative High School that is implementing the “Big Picture” program. Due to the unique learning environment, any California credential with a CLAD or equivalent can teach this position although as mentioned prior, a math or science credential is preferred.
