Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Student and Family Services, the Executive Director of Student and Family Services assists in the planning and administration of student services programs for the District using leadership strategies that ensure that diversity, inclusion and equity exist for all students, are part of all educational programs and at the core of decision making. The EDSFS is responsible for health and emotional well-being, response to behavior programs, student engagement programs, and school climate and culture in accordance with the District’s Mission Statement.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience: Strong candidates will have a California teaching credential with a Bilingual Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD or BCLAD) credential, EL authorization or equivalent. A Master's Degree is preferred. Prior background and experience as a manager or school principal is highly desired. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. A valid California Administrative Services Credential. A strong background of successful teaching experience. Desire for second language proficiency in Spanish or other language to match community needs.
