The Craig School is a small private school designed specifically for children with challenges with skills of executive function and is modeled after a laboratory school model developed by researchers at the University of California, Irvine. The Craig School serves students in grades 3-8, many of whom have a diagnosis of ADHD and/or Autism. The Craig School is also certified by the California Department of Education as a Non-Public School qualified to serve children eligible for Special Education. The Craig School is growing, and we are now accepting applications for a dynamic teacher who is passionate about teaching middle school students. The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for planning and providing instruction, monitoring student progress toward goals, and is supported by two specially trained paraprofessional behavior specialists in the classroom (1:4 staff to student ratio), as well as collaboration with an Education Specialist Teacher, a mental health professional behavioral case manager, and a Mentor Teacher. Requirements / Qualifications
* Resume * Two recent reference letters (must be within one year from the current date) * Proof of preliminary or clear credential
* A bachelor's degree in education, psychology or a related field. * Course work required for credentialing in education. * Possession of a valid California Commission on Teaching Credentialing, Single Subject, General Education Teacher, or Education Specialist (mild mod) credential * Eagerness to develop curricula and instructional materials for students in grades 6-8. * Ability to understand the mission, goals, and objectives of The Craig School.
